Shower Control
My shower has developed a slow drip. Does anybody know the manufacturer and model for the shower control? Or more specifically, the part number for the replacement cartridge for it?
If not I guess I can remove it and try to match it.

That sounds like a plan... since you will eventually have to "remove" it to "replace" it.

Moen shower
We had a similar problem a few years ago and contacted Moen about their product. We described the shower handle to them, explained what the problem was, and they sent us a new one at no charge. We are not the first owner and our coach was 10 years old at the time. The cartridge number is 1222. You can contact Moen at 1-800-289-6636. (No charge is always a great charge!)

It's not Moen. It is Huntington Brass. I didn't see a model number on it. It will wait untill I get home.

Jim A, had a problem with ours while we were on our Alaska trip this summer, there is a ball valve replacement kit from Delta that includes all the seals and the ball valve (my problem). I found the kit in an Ace Hardware.

Dave, thanks for the information, especially the Delta reference. That is a place to start. Now that our trip is over I will take it apart and check what is wrong.
ACE is the place!!

HI Jim
Before you take things apart and go to ACE call Huntington Brass and complain that your shower faucet has failed and you are not happy! I had one that "failed" (another brand ) and they said they were very sorry and sent instructions on how to get a brand new one for free. Free is always better!

Hi Jim
Have you resolved your shower control problem. Did you replace the valve? My shower has been difficult (tight) to adjust since we got the coach and I would like to know if anyone has adjusted the handle tension on their shower or should I just replace the valve.

Jim,
I have not looked at it yet. It is on my list for this week. I will let you know what I find.

You can slightly loosen the ring behind the lever to make it easier to adjust.

Dave was right on all counts. The parts are the same as the Delta #70 ball valves. It appears there are two different sizes for the rubber seats and the springs, a short one and a taller one. Apparently an old style and a new style. Mine took the shorter one. It seems to be fixed. No drip.
And there is a brass ring behind the control handle that can be tightened or loosened to change the tension on the valve. There is a wrench that comes with the repair kit needed to adjust it. The wrench also has the hex key to tighten the handle set screw.
A pretty simple project, except for having to go match the parts after I removed the old ones.
