Gary & Rich- how many miles on your rigs when the pad problem reared its ugly head?
Anybody else that's had pad replacement- how many miles on yours @ that point?

Mike, I have about 62,000 miles on mine, but I spend a lot of time off-road, so I would assume that contributes more to my problems than most.

Gary and I spoke a while ago and he has sent me the instructions and some pictures I need to review.

I will then decide if I want to do it myself or have the local guy do it, since it will be in the shop on Monday.

Rich- If the photos don't cover enough of the detail for a full explanation, hopefully you or the local guy will be able to record those Kodak moments sufficiently for a good instruction set. Let us know how it comes out, and how fully it solves your carpet issue.

We have 86,000 and from day one or 13,000 noticed the problem. Fixed the pads before recapeting.
Previous to that tried adjusting the slide but it never helped.

Skirt comes off and large brackets. Typed out the instruction for the process, gathered some photos and Friday will take a couple more that should help.

Gary is putting together a good tutuorial. I believe his plan is to get together with Mike at Quartzsite and make it a polished effort. It will be worth waiting for. Now that I see the pictures, I understand the problem a lot better. Due to things on my plate, I probably will not attack this myself, but will have the RV shop look into this next week. In talking to Gary this seems like a very DIY task.

I have a pile of blank CD's and a computer as will others at QZ. Maybe we could copy the CD.
