The white vinyl coating on our slide topper awning fabric is pealing off on all 3 slides. I patched some of it with the awning repair tape from Camping World. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what was the solution?

I have seen the material for the awnings being replaced while at DDR in Quartzsite. You might check who does awning repair in your area, and see if they can replace just the material. If you are coming to DDR next year and it can wait, there a few outfits down their that specialize in awning work.

here is Ray Oberreuter [rvtechray@yahoo.com] RV, RV INFORMATION the fellow that sent us the replacement awnings for our toppers. The material he sells is a little heavier than stock and advertised to last longer. We just replaced both of ours in May. Ray was prompt on his delevery and at a good price. Ours was delaminating also. There is a how-to video on his site and it really is a quick and easy change out.

I replace mine last year --- removed the fabric and had a local awning shop in Dallas make new fabric to the dimensions of the old -- at about 1/2 what the awning mfg would have charged me, not including shipping costs. The new fabric looked like the old stuff, but doesn't look like it will last as long. Next time I will go for fabric more like my patio awning.

Hi Wil,
Mine did the same as yours, twice. They were replaced both times. Unfortunately, with the same topper fabric (warranty replacement, you get only what you had). Now it is on my dime and when they need replacement I will go for a top of the line fabric.
