On my 2001 Alpine the living /kitchen area slide is 14' 10" wide. Out side edge to outside edge, total width.

I need to buy a new topper for it...how much wider that the slide is the topper supposd to be. This one has the brackets on eh front of the slide but the topper itself was dameged and removed.

Thanks ..Stan

Thanks Wayne..

I called that site just now...they sell the fabric, but not the hardware.
That's part of my problem...I don't have a tube to measure...just the slide itself.

I need info telling me how much wider than the slide the hardware needs to be....so I can order the correct hardware.

Thanks..Stan

If you need the whole slide topper, roller tube and hardware, check out the Camping World website and the Dometic (A&E awnings) websites. They tell you how to measure the slide and what size topper you need to buy based on that.

If you had the topper already and needed new fabric, that would be different.

The money flow starts....

I put a new Awning on my living room/kitchen slide and also a new one on a friends 2001 40' FDS this summer. Both awnings measured 180.5". The tube that the awning rolls onto is about an inch longer than that on each end.

I bought the fabric from http://www.rv-motorhome-answers.com/rv-slide-out-topper.html and it was perfect and easy to install.

Good luck !

Thanks Jim...yep $$ but I knew that this was needed, even discussed it with the dealer. He would have put one on, but I can do it cheaper.

Glad you mentioned Camping World...I have wholesale act. with them for my business. At least I did...haven't used it in a while.

Thanks..Stan
