Slideout stuck
I have a 2002 36MMD, and the main slideout is stuck at the base and won't extend. It's acting like it's stuck on the bottom portion as if it's locked to the frame. Any suggestions? Thanks.

More info please--is the HWH pump running? Does it load up when the slide appears stick? But most important -- are the jacks down. Most versions of HWH control logic on Alpines wont let you put out the main slide unless the jacks are down full level or at least a little bit own......

Actually, the slide seems to be stuck at the top not at the bottom.

The slide is working on the bottom section, so I would think that the pump is working, but the jacks are not down because it is on level ground. I wondered about that.

IF it's a 2002 HWH system... it MAY be a "train" system, and if it is... there are 2 vertical lock pins top and 2 vertical lock pins on the bottom of the slide's
I would call HWH with your model #'s and any info you can gather....

What's odd is that I've operated the slide with no real problems like this before, and if there are lock pins, then I would have had to put them in place which I didn't.

No locking pins or mechanics--its an Alpine. Can't explain why: "..it worked before". So try lowering the jacks this time....... If its not the jacks and is something else, the diagnostics get more involved, eg., control panel, fuses, solenoids, shuttle valve, etc.

Nope, the pins lock and unlock during the extend & retract sequences, You as operator are not made aware... because the pins are operating behind the scenes automatically with no input from you.

If your 2002 Alpine is anything like my 2001 Alpine the slide will not extend unless the Jack's are down, or you at least lower the Jack's slightly to fool the HWH controller.

So, did you extend your jacks and see what happened?
