Drive shaft slip joint lube

Opposite the slip joint seal at the shaft's end adjacent to the U-joint, I found a small relief hole on my '06 34' Limited. I have experienced zero problems since U-joint replacement 10K mi ago with filling the slip joint until a small amount of grease exits that weep hole.

OK--ten pumps but don't ask me why--160k and no issues--but I do grease the driveline before EVERY major trip......

I use an air grease gun and give it 4 or 5 triggers every time I do the U-joints. Have never seen any come out from splines though. 75K miles.

If it's empty, it may take an entire tube.

On one DSDP we had Freightliner said to plug the vent hole and put grease in till it came out around the splines. The last DSDP on Spartan they just said to put grease in till it came out the vent but do it every 5,000 miles.
