I really like my Splendide. It really washes clean! The real key to using it is to use liquid softener as it says.

I like to hang things outside as much as possible -- love the smell! I can actually wash our king size sheets and two pillowcases when I hang them out.

If you are using the dryer -- you just have to remember to use smaller loads.

I'm surprised at the responses on the Splendide. I was expecting complaints and frustrations after comments from some friends (they may not have had a Splendide, but they did have a W/D combination).
Thanks for your comments.

Most of the time the negative responses come from people who (1) aren't fulltimers and therefore are still thinking house size washers and/or (2) have more than 2 people with them.

Like anything else, you have to put a little time and effort (and very little) into learning how to use something correctly. What I especially love are the comments on how long it takes to do a load - as if you had to stand there and watch the thing!

Hi Clark. We had A Splendid in our Monaco, and wanted one very much inour Alpine, but with only 34 ft we were not willing to give up the 3 large clothes drawers that are in the space that the Splendid must go. It is a trade off. Clothes storage or washer?
