Can anyone explain why WRV installs a unit that won't let you run both the washer and dryer at the same time?

Something is wrong. We miss the stacked washer & dryer we had in our 2003 38' FDTS because you could wash and dry at the same time.(no room in the APEX 40' FDQS).

Popping the breaker?

Sorry, we weren't very clear with our question. To clarify, WRV installed a Kenmore stacked washer and dryer that only allows one of the units to run at a time. There is a "knob (slide)" that must be placed on either the washer or the dryer position. It is impossible to do both at same time. It is a big disappointment and a real pain. It takes forever to do laundry. For $1,500+ we expected more!

Does anyone know why WRV would install this type of w/d? We're thinking it must have something to do w/the electrical wiring not supporting both? We'd like to know, because we'd like to replace this unit w/a separate washer and dryer that can be run at same time.

Thanks.

We have the stacked washer\dryer and have no problem running both in our '03 38ft. Maybe it's something new WRV did on the newer coaches. Ours doesn't have any such knob (slide) ?

Jim & Ingrid,
I would think if you asked Mike Glazier or Dave Kaampi at WRV they could provide you with your answer quite quickly

I think that the new stacked washer/dryer units which you can operate both at the same time require 220 volt wiring.

Our Sears Kenmore stack washer and dryer is 120 volt and can be used at the same time.
