Steering

I've recently purchased a 2004 Alpine and I'm working through the issues to get it ready for its first trip with me and my brother in law. I saw a number of thread on a steering issue and a fix for it. I'm not sure what the issue was but my coach when driving through the local street the steering seems fine. When I get on the highway it seems to take a good turn of the wheel for the coach to respond. I'm bringing it to an alignment shop next week to look at the front end as that might be the issue but I was wondering if anyone knew what the issue was that caused Western to develop a fix for the power steering? Thanks

Dan,

1. Go to the National Highway Safety Administration web site to find any RECALL information for your coach:
ODI - Office of Defects Investigation

2. Check out these irv2.com links for steering box info:

3. Browse this entire forum looking for anything else that pertains to your year and model coach.
