The latches on the storage compartments doors on my 2000 Alpine don't stay latched. Any tips on how to adjust or modify these latches so they will stay latched?

I closed three of the storage compartment doors and crawled inside the storage compartment to verify that they were latched. After a 20 minute drive, two of the three doors were no longer latched.

When it is cold, I can't latch the doors at all.

I, too, had a 2000 with a similar problem. You can make slight adjustments to catch on each side that helps a bit. Part of my check-off proceedures was to walk around the coach and lean into each corner of the door until I heard the click. Even then, upon arrival, one or more corners had released. The gizmo in the corner of each door is really short and if there is any wear, I know that the problem can only get worse. I put up with it for 6 years. I don't have the problem on the 06 - I just bang and cut my head on the closer!!! Happy new year to everyone. Gary

On our 38FDDS, I've adjusted the latch plates several times and seem to have finally hit upon the proper engagement. One of the short doors under the LR slide still occasionally is open after a run, so I just open and slam it shut as a matter of course. Just haven't got time recently to play with the latch plates. Crawling inside to view the "engagement" of the latches is difficult at best - hard to view w/o a flashlight and inspection mirror.
