Hello all,
One of my storage compartment latches/locks has broken, it closes, but won't lock. I believe it's easier to replace it, since when I took it apart, there seems to be something missing, maybe a spring broke, but don't see any parts in there as a guide. I have a link to a place which sells those latches. I am going to list it here, and hopefully someone can confirm if this is the correct one or not. I dont see any manfacturers stamp or anything on the assembly to figure out if it's PTL or not, but the link below sure seems to be their's product.

TYIA - Link is way long, but should work.

I broke off a handle to my propane compartment latch last week by putting the slide out while the compartment door was open!!

My latches look different than these (Alpine 40 FDTS) but I found www.SouthCo.com on the latch by looking with a magnifying glass. I could identify the latch I wanted from a chart by taking measurments - part #C5-11-45 Sealed Lever Latch. The problem was finding a distributer where I could order just one replacement part. The best I could find wanted $49 for one latch!

Finally found one on eBay for $4 plus shipping from Bontragers Surplus.

Thanks Snug,

Did you happen to determine the part# for the locking version of that latch.

Thought I'd get a spare for my 04 Alphan...

I think that the locking version of the latch is C5-31-45 but I could be off on the measurements. The part number is not stamped on the lock anywhere.
