We subscribed to Verizon's unlimitted and used it with excellent reception last winter stateside however, after returning to Alaska for the summer we found the service very slow and almost unusable here in Fairbanks. So here we set paying monthly fees without good service. Lent my laptop to a friend that flew to the lower 48 for a vacation he used it a lot to keep tract of his investments. This winter we will return to the lower 48 and exspect to continue the good contact. Iron Mike 2003 Alspine 38'

If you go to Verizon Coverage Map you'll see that Alaska is only covered by their Extended Network and not Broadband. I think this might also be the case in northern Canada also.

Verizon has no unlimited broadband plan. Verizon has a 5GB monthly limit on data usage.
