Spent a few hours yesterday morning at Cummins Northeast: replace fuel guage sending unit and try once again to get to the front end clunk. Thanks to a message from Roy (thank you!!!) they went right to the drag link and found the clunk. Roy's solution to adjust it to bind the ends keep's it from clunking. BUT they found that the bushings in the end pieces on the drag link were totally shot.
So now I'll have to get those pieces from WRV and get them fitted when I move over to Burlington, VT next week. A bit of a PITA but at least it's stopped clunking for now.
Other issue to be aware of in a separate post.
Thanks again Roy.

It's been clunking since I got it in April in Junction City, OR. I'm now in Scarborough, so it's been a cross-country clunky experience.
Spoke to the previous owner after I got the coach and he remembers it clunking also. Who knows how long the bushings were shot.

What was the mileage when you got it?
How many miles are on it now?

Nuts!
I just bought a 1999 having 38K on it. It does has a slight "clunk" in the front end when going over sharp bumps but not what I'd say indicates a serious problem. It doesn't transmit anything the the wheel as I'd expect it to if there was a problem.

It went through State Safety inspection fine and they did a pretty good job of it on a pre-purchase inspection/survey before I bought it.

I'll keep an eye, er, ear on it in the future.
