I replaced our tires with the Bridgestone R260. The only concern I had with my choice was the high tread depth, 22/32. We have 20K on them now and they still look good. We used the old fashioned lead weights too

Alpine Coaches use 22.5" tires. They usually cost $120 to $150 more per tire. I love the bigger tires and wheels, but you pay for them!

Just for interest sake, what is the size you are looking for. I will get a quote and you can see if you are getting good value.

Alpine Coaches typically use 295/75R22.5 tires.

I'd be interested in prices elsewhere, but especially in SoCal.

In April we replaced our tires with TOYO M124Z TL HWY tires - all 6. We went to Pete's Road Service in Escondido 760-735-8100 cost $just over $2100. including recycling, disposal, and the counteract balancing beads. We are very happy with the tires and the service at Pete's was super. They carry several brands of tires. They specalize in the big trucks along with road service.
One of the reason we went with the balancing beads is if you have to have tires changed "on the higway" they will use these beads to balance them on the spot. They are self balancing. Hope this helps with your decission.

Thanks for the info. I checked and found a Pete's, here in Long Beach, CA. I'll give them a call. From all I've read about the balancing beads, I think it's worth a try.

I hope they can install a SmarTire system at the same time. It sure saves a lot of labor time!

I was a mechanic for the Baltimore County Police Dept. We tryed some kind of liquid balance in the police cars, it did not work. Had to wipe out of alot of tires.
