Toad lighting problem

In the process of getting set up to tow my Jeep. Got the hitch put on the Jeep and towbar set up. Tows fine. Having issues with the lights. The MH has a 7 pole blade connector set up. Jeep 4 blade pin. Have the convertor between the two. I can get the left blinker on the jeep to come on, but that is it. When I went to checking the blades on the MH side, I could get the blade from the LH turn signal to light with a tester, but nothing else. Would a fuse somewhere be effecting the rest of that? Wondering if the connector is tied into the taillights in the back or carries forward to the front to make work. Figured next is to take the plug off and check the wire connections in the back. Or would it make more sense to check the wires coming into it also. The previous owner had been towing an older Jeep and the wiring cable between the bus was from that. Not issues from that I've found. Any thoughts appreciated

By converter are you talking about the box for the separate Amber turn signals? If so check with your test light before it's installation point. They do go bad, just happened to me.

Also, are the lights working on the MH?

All the lights on the MH are working. The converter mean the plug to go from a 7 way to the 4 pin flat. Going to play with it today. Start with the wires coming into the plug on the MH side.
Thanks
Bruce

You may have a converter similar to this by the hitch and plug (may have more wires).
This is what I was talking about checking on both sides of with a test light. Mine would show voltage on both sides but it wouldn't light a test light on the trailer side.
Just one more thing to look at, hope this helps.Click image for larger version

That converter was it - I found one after searching around and sure enough on the vehicle side all the wires had power, but on the trailer side only the left turn signal worked. Now the question, is this converter really needed? This one was a Drawtite trailer light power module. Old enough this one is not made anymore that I see. I coupled the 4 wires up to test and all the lights on the Jeep work. Does this really do anything? Protect the circuits maybe?
Thanks for the help

….Alpines have separate amber turn signals--does your towed have amber signals and a five wire lead? If not you need a converter--that's how you can tell.....

The Jeep does not have ambers. It's a 4 wire set up. The Drawtite module is 5 in from auto side, Ground, tail, left, right, and stop. On the trailer side shows 4 out with ground, tail, left/stop and right/stop.
Thanks
Bruce

Glad that helped, brand isn't important, any good auto parts store should sell one.

Trying to get my battery charger in my toad (crv) working. I wanted to hook it up to the aux pin in the hitch but it has no power. Any idea where this aux wire 1149 goes in the coach?

IIWM, I would remove the 1149 wire, from the 7 pin, come directly off the batteries with a new wire, then IMMEDIATELY to a circuit breaker, to the "Aux pin on the 7 pin, from the 6 pin on the end of the tow cable to another circuit breaker or charge controller to the toad battery. That is how I did it on our '05 Alpine to our '16 GC.

There is a 1149H white wire to the trailer towing socket on Vansco equipped coaches. It powers backup lights from the output side of the Vansco box. Check to see if you get 12v on your 1149 wire when your coach backup lights are on. DrDave is leading you in the right direction to power a charge line directly from the chassis batteries.
