I have a 2001 Alpine 36
The right turn signal on the toad has stopped working. I checked the bulb and wiring on the car and it is ok; it works fine if you energize the cable at the coach end. Replacing the blinker gizmo on the fuse panel didn't help. ANY IDEAS? Thanks!

You didn't say what toad you have but I assume that it is wired for a 4 wire system. Although the toad may have amber turn signal lamps, it may use the brake lights for turn signals when connected to the coach. The coach has a 5 wire system and has amber turn signal lamps. If the coach to toad cable has 4 wires, your coach will have a 5 wire to 4 wire converter module which could be defective. This is an after market modification and may have been installed by an RV service shop. Use a test lamp or meter to check the turn signals at the connector socket on the coach. The signals will be left turn/brake, right turn/brake, lights, and ground.

I had the same problem not long ago and I discovered it was a bad pin in the female socket for the right turn signal on the toad. I replaced the female socket and that fixed the problem.

We had the same issue and it, too was the female adapter on the toad. According to Roadmaster, that is almost always the problem. The pin pushes back through the recepticle and it's usually the turn signal for some reason.
