Anyone out there towing a flat bed or large trailer (with car etc aboard)? Would be interested in your experiences.
Thanks.

You can see one of the trailers I tow with my coach in my avatar. I carry a variety of vehicles in there. I also have a flat bed trailer, although I prefer my enclosed trailer. One of the great things about the enclosed trailer is its use at cocktail time should the weather outside not be nice.

What are your concerns?

Before I switched out to a TOAD, I towed a 28' flatbed with my BMW 330ci on the deck. I never had any issues with it (unless you count fuel consumption) except in one little park in Texarkana where my pull thru space was a tad tight! Having a anti-sway kit and brake controller was the main expense other then the trailer itself.

Hope that helps.

I pull a 24 foot featherlight car-hauler all the time. I usually have my Toyota Tundra Double cab in it with my Harley in the bed of the truck. It takes a little longer to load and tie everything down. I put the loading ramp on my Tailgate to load the Harley on and off the truck.

Does anyone know what the state laws are for towing a long trailer behind a motorhome? Are there cases where the over-all length of motorhome plus trailer requires a special towing permit? If so, how is that done?
