Under the dome

UNDER THE DOME
While traveling recently we became aware of a thumping noise above our heads. I pulled over and having no ladder, I climbed a hill adjacent to the road and observed the roof. I thought it was an air conditioner cover as these are known to break and start flopping. However everything looked solid. The thumping continued so that afternoon at the campground, I broke out the telescoping ladder and climbed up to the roof. Again, from the rear, everything looked ok. Wait a minute, isn’t that KingDome sort of off center? Turns out all the screws holding it down were sheared off, the two coax cables were shredded and only the power cable kept it on the roof. It never worked anyway.

Imagine being the car behind you if it had come off.

Priceless,
If you'd had one of the earlier models w/the KingDum ahead of the front AC, it wouldn't have been a problem.
(for you)
