Looking for a used VDC, seems I inadvertently drilled some holes into it while mounting a buss bar in the battery compartment. A VDC is the black box mounted on the backside of the left hand wall of the battery compartment. I tried the dealer who was parting out the burned Alpine but the VDC was to damaged in the fire. Any help would be great

I believe there was an 03 being parted out & was shown in a thread here (search) a while back. Otherwise most folks still need theirs.

The VDC is the computer brain for the gauges on the dash and is what we had to have replaced on our '03 Alpine. The work was done at Butlers right close to the factory in Union Gap.
Don't have any of the records on the old coach with us in TX but I would suggest researching Larry Butler or Butler's RV Repair in Union Gap and calling him to see if he can get one for you or tell you where to get one.

If you search on VDC you'll find a thread w/a link to Medallion who bought the VDC product line a while back. They have made several as service parts for Alpiners. They might have one in stock as a return from a gent in NY who turned out to have a different problem.

Thanks to all who offered there help, I contacted Medallion on 10/13 and even after repeated calls to them I have yet to get them to respond. Luckily, I found a place here in Pittsburgh that was willing to repair the damaged circuit. $35.00 later the VDC is as good as new.
