Voyager backup camera monitor

On my original 05, the voyager monitor screen has an accumulation of dust behind what looks like a protective cover that is mounted over the screen. I would like to remove the cover and clean it but I don't want to break something. Anyone removed this cover? Can't seem to find a manual for the unit on line.

Jerry,

I have the same problem with my view screen as well. Did you get brave and pry off the "protective cover" yet? Or did anyone offer a solution in a private message? Hopefully someone will chime in soon.

Voyager screen cover

David,

Guess we are the only two with this problem. No one has chimed in with a solution.

I don't have one of these but from what I read it appears the screen is sealed to the unit but there may be a removable protective cover on top of this. I can only assume you have dirt trapped between the two and you have to risk prizing them apart.
