Water Softner
Just purchased a softener and a charcoal filter, Should filter be installed before or after the softener.

(Note softener is only 6 inches in diameter 8000 grain purchased from Amazon for only $111.000)

Almost every water softener I've seen in use are between the water supply and the water tank fill. Maybe it's because you can't easily get to the line after the particle filter.
