I've decide to stop at an industrial safety store and get a 'bump' cap (sort of like a hard hat) for my hubby - - he's always getting a new bump on the head and with no hair to cushion, he looks dashing with the bandaids on his head!

I hate to tell you, hair doesn't help. I had to have stitches from a hit on my '02 and in first few weeks on the new one I conked my self twice. For now I seem to have been able to remember to stay low and move straight out from the coach before I stand up.

Head wounds are just an automatic issue with RV's and boats. I truly think the boats are a bit worse, but they are all pretty painful.They must be part of the joy of motor homing. It's like the golden years as we get older. I don't know if I am not old enough or to old, but I definitely have yet to see them.

Ted, you are right about boats. Between spinnaker poles and companion way hatches its amazing I am still coherent, although collisions with slide outs and side mirrors have also been painful
