On that note, I'll chime in with a few things.
First, from a newbie (both to diesel pushers and this forum) perspective I'm thrilled that this forum exists specifically for Alpine owners. It's been an incredible help! We used to own a Winnebago class A and this Alpine is superior in every way but it's reassuring to know that people in this forum have "been there, done that" when issues pop up and are willing to share their wisdom.
Second, Even though we did alot of research before we bought our Alpine and felt this brand was the best for our needs, it still impresses me with the overall quality of build. This is a solid rig from a design and materials standpoint; engine, generator, slide, etc. Not perfect, mind you, but sturdy and that is what is important to me when it's all said and done. If something is quality built then repairing or maintaining it is easier, more worthwhile and enjoyable. Upgrading and updating a well-built unit is better then buying new in my book.
Anyways, as I'm starting to losing my breath here, I've gone through this motorhome front to back and even though I don't know everything there is to know about it, I do know one thing: I'm a happy Alpine owner.
(I have stepped off the soapbox now)
