Looks like things keep getting worse for my former employer.

One of the best work environments I have ever had been in. It's hard to believe it has been a little more than 3 years since I worked there.

Bad news for everybody involved but most mostly for all the fine employees and their families. My family will keep you in our prayers. I love my Alpine and appreciate all the work and care that went into it's design and construction. Given time this would have been a very successful company. If I had enough money I would certainly invest in this company and it's employees. Maybe if a lot of small investors came together we could.

RUMOR ONLY - I was just talking to an old RV dealer friend who stated that he heard about a Canadian firm that is moving its production facilities to Yakima (real soon). They manufacture motor homes, campers and 5th wheels. It would appear a coincidence that they would start up production right away with the same product mix and just after WRV closed the doors!!!! What do you think? Maybe some deal is being struck without all of the liabilities attached.

That looks like more than a rumor - but they may not move into WRV facilities?!?

Also, if you look at the product lines that are produced by Adventurer MFG - they don't look like they are compatible with WRV products.

So what do you all think?

Who would have ever thought that Canadian companies would move to the U.S. to drive down costs!

The truth is Monomoy tricked a lot of people with this company, the exception being Richard Fish. They did not commit to the employees or the new management. They also stuck some of us with expenses out of our own pocket when we came to the company to work. Good luck to all of you; And to Monomoy - what goes around comes around.

Ron,
I tried to call you to find out about the water compartment door that was being fabricated for shipment March 24th -- but your # had been disconnected. I then received an email from Alison stating it would be completed 4/4. My coach has been sitting in a repair shop since the middle of February. The fabricator in Yakima told me they had not even started working on it -- WRV is slow at paying. The repair shop "said" they had ordered and paid WRV for it -- and I can only hope that "what goes around comes around."

We came to Yakima to have Dave Catron do some wood work for us and stopped at camp WRV. There is no one at the factory any more, other than security.

Looks like NAPTA in action !! As least some of the former WRV employees should be able to find jobs in the same industry.
