We've sold the Alpine
Well folks, for myriad reasons, not the least of which is the constant concern in a heavy snowfall and the Alpine's destruction of our driveway, we've sold the Alpine and moved down to a Phoenix Cruiser.
On other fronts, the Alpine has given us little trouble and provided me lessons of encyclopedic proportion. It has also brought me into contact with you fine people here, some of whom I've gotten to know a bit.
So, with mixed emotions, I bid you all fond farewell wishes for safe and trouble-free miles.
We're departing for Colorado, Salt Lake City, Reno, San Francisco, a drive north on the PCH, Portland, the Seattle area and returning on the most northern U. S. Highways. Although the Cruiser is not as big and beautiful as the Alpine, it's white and blue 5-piece fiberglass House on a Ford 350 Super Duty chassis is "Cute". If you see an old bald guy in one at a CG, stop by. Perhaps we'll have a gentle encounter along the way.
Hoping I've contributed to this community in some small measure as compensation for what I've received, I send you all my best regards.

Nothing wrong with this rig! You enjoy it and keep in touch. It's often seen that folks will downsize to meet thier needs. You just have to be able to recognize your needs and react to it.

Honk when you pass thru Auburn, CA ('bout 90 miles west of Reno on your way to Frisco aka "The City" to those in the no), and we'll waive back. Mike & Annie

I think you have the right idea! Check out the Blueback SS 581 while you are in Portland.

Bob & Peg, may the road be friendly and bright all the miles in your new rig. Honk when you see us Alpine Owners, as you are still in the family, just driving something else. Happy trails as one fellow used to say.

Thank you all for the good wishes.
We picked it up Wednesday, loaded it Thursday (shedding all the stuff that fit the Alpine but don't fit no mo) and left Friday AM. Right now Peg and I are the Rock Island, IL KOA.
Pulled in and was set up in less than 10 minutes, (not too bad for the 1st time with this) which included "Sani-CONning both tanks dry (small tanks).
So far, we miss some storage and the MUCH bigger bathroom.
We're "On the road again".
Again, thanks.
If there's anything I can do to help any of you, you've but to let me know.
