Plans are well underway for the Fall 2010 ACA Heritage Rally in New Braunfels, Texas and registrations are starting to arrive daily. Jan and I are looking forward to showing all our fellow ACA travelers a great time in this unique region of the Lone Star state.

With the economy these days and all that is going on in the world, we understand how hard it is to make travel plans very far in advance. We can't solve the uncertainty for you but we can promise you a great experience with tons of good music and great food. And speaking of good music, here is a sample of what you will be hearing as we make the rounds between Wurstfest, our campground, and the dance hall at Gruene.

Paste or link to your browser and enjoy this musical introduction to Texas:

YouTube - What I Like About Texas (new)

P.S. There may be some confusion about who will be making reservations for you at the Lazy L&L Campgrounds. Just forward your reservation to us and we will take care of everything for the rally with the campgrounds. If you plan to come early or stay after the rally, you will need to contact the Lazy L&L direct [see their website] and make those arrangements separately [you should receive the same discount price as the rally].

Don't want to over step my bounds...but I grew up there, went to College there....Best place on Earth. Without question. So much to do and see within just a few short miles. The Comal River, Blanco River, Schlitterbahn (Largest Waterpark in the World). Austin, Lake Travis, San Antonio, the River Walk, head up North an hour and hit German Country...Fredricksburg. They don't call them "Bed and Breakfasts" up there, they are "Beer and Breakfasts". The City of Greene is right there. Great Country music and dancing at Greene Hall (oldest dance hall in Texas 1800 something). Almost every other time in there we would run into a Country Music Star. If anyone has missed this part of our Country, it is well worth the trip (and Alpine owners all there too!) Truly is God's Country. :-)

C&R--We couldn't have said it better. We are understandably proud of Jan's hometown, here on the edge of the Texas Hill Country, and want to share it with as many of our fellow ACA travelers as possible. Again, come early for the rally and/or stay after--we think "y'all" will have a good time.

Jan and I are currently traveling thru the Wilds of Wisconsin and plan to be home in early August. So for now, your resistration checks are being dutifully collected from our mail box by the neighbors. We'll get checks deposited and start sending out email confirmations as soon as we return home--dean and jan
