What type grease?

Hello, I have a 2008 34FDDS Alpine limited and want to grease the coach. The drive shaft u joints have grease fittings that I noticed. Where if any are more and is there a certain type grease I need to use?

Thanks

Any high quality automotive grease is fine. There are many points to lube, consult your chassis manual, they usually have a diagram of all places that need attention.

The grease specification you're looking for is NLGI#2.

Like I said, high quality automotive grease. #2 means it has the consistency of peanut butter. (not chunky) It is a standard set by the National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLFI) Most all lubricating multipurpose greases meet this standard, check the label to be sure.

Yes. He asked what type and I gave the specification. What's the point here? There are NLGI #1 greases available that are also " high quality" but they meet a different specification.

OK--I vote for #2, too.....while they sort out 1 vs 2--here is a short list of the fittings: 2 on each u-joint [opinions vary about whether to push grease beyond joint seals--I do]; one on drive shaft[lateral movement]. Front suspension: 2 on each king pin [top and bottom][one pin on each side]; 2 on tie rod [ends]; 2 on drag link [ends]; 2 on steering shaft [2 u-joints]. Rocker shaft on brake pedal [08???]. The rubber gasket where the steering shaft goes thru floor gets dry/dirty and can squeak.
PS--alway get in trouble when commenting on newer coaches--have to assume they have a similar fitting config....

Nothing to sort out. WRV specified NLGI#2 grease.
