I must be getting old/blind/ whatever... But I simply cannot find the electric water heater on my 2005 40'QS. It is equipped with Hydro-hot heating too. I am not getting any hot water from the electric side though, so I suspect the anode.......but where is it ???????????????????

If you have Hydro-Hot, you probably do not have a separate water heater. I have a 2005 38FDTS and do not have one. The switch to turn on the Hydro-Hot electric heat mode on my rig is in the cabinet above the driver seat.

Turn the electric switch on, it is the middle switch on the hydro hot control panel in the cabinet above the steering wheel. It works quite well during hot weather. If it is already on, then something is wrong with the Hydro Hot unit. The Hydro Hot is the only water heater we have.

Thanks Wayne,
I thought I had a suburban 10 gallon somewhere.Ok, yes the middle switch is lite and no hot water.
Is there a "approachable" anode in the hydro-hot for the electic end of it or is this something for WRV???

Thank you Wil,
I was wondering if you ever explored the electric end of that Hydro Hot water heater?

You can get the shop manual online at http://www.hydro-hot.com/. The heating element is behind the J-box on the curb side of the unit. It does not look to be an easy unit to work on.
