Where to fill fresh water tank
Help! I'm not sure which inlet to use to fill the fresh water tank. I've been using the one with the brass pressure reducer to fill the tank and run city water. I just move the valve shown in the picture to either city water or fresh tank fill. However, I am wondering what the chrome colored water inlet in the picture is for?
Is my procedure correct or not? Thanks in advance for helping me out.

You are correct!
The chrome fitting is most likely your Black Tank Flush system.
I would suggest dedicating a non-potable water hose for that use.
To verify, hookup a hose, turn on the water and watch the level of your black tank to see if it is rising.

I would think you are doing it right. Does the fresh water holding tank fill up so that if you took the hose off you still get water coming thru your water pump? I'm not sure what the other valve does.

Dr4film, that makes sense, my black water flush connections are on the opposite side of the bay so you don't make any mistakes, but I think you are correct.

The brass fitting is the location for "City Water" & "Tank Fill". The chrome fitting is for black tank flushing.
Did you add that brass fitting?
The cream colored round plastic inlet behind the brass fitting should be a check valve that prevents water from escaping when using the water pump (back pressure!). The brass fitting looks like an "add-on" check valve that someone added because the check valve failed. You can easily & cheaply replace the inlet check valve if that's the case. Many RV stores carry them (like Camping World).

Dr4film is correct, I have the same, only they are at separate ends of the wet bay. Had to replace my inlet because the pot metal swivel started leaking.

Think the brass fitting you are referring to is a water pressure regulator.

You are missing a label that should be next to the chrome fitting. It tells you that this is the holding tank flush connection AND you must always have the black tank valve open when you use it. Also it is more usual to connect the pressure regulator to the campground tap as this protects the hose as well as the coach pipework.
If you are dry camping and using water from the tank leave the selector lever in the city water position as this will prevent the pump from cycling.

That is more like a "water restrictor" versus a true water pressure regulator.
I would recommend having one like THIS and placing it on the spigot versus at the RV. Choose one that has adequate flow and a gauge.
