Has anyone had their windshield come loose. Mine is an 04 with the glass held in by some type of black butyl rubber adheasive. The adhesive failed at the bottom center post and the glass moved sideways toward the street side verticle post. This caused pressure on the curved corner and a vertical spear crack appeared at the the curve. WRV says the coach being out of level caused pressure on the windshield and caused it to break. What I can't figure out, if this is true, why didn't the right W/S break also. Has anyone else had a windshield problem in their Alpine? Roy

I haven't heard of an Alpine with this problem but several Monacos have had similar problems.

I have replaced both windshildes in an 04 and have crack in the corner of the new ones This is a problem with the fact that they are part of structer not floating in rubber like mostmakers do It has nothing to do with being level but what do you expect from the people at WRV. They will have a different story if you assume aa new name and ask the question again.

Yes, we've had both of our windshields come loose - although neither cracked. Had the drivers side one removed and reset while we were at FMCA rally in Minot last year. We were to have WRV do the same when we got to Homecoming - they discovered that the curb side window was delaminating so decided to replace it.....due to the fire last year (at WRV) they couldn't do it then, so we finally got that done last week. Happy with the results. They had no explation as to why the windshields came loose - the drivers side you could put a pencil between the window and the center frame.

Also, they finally got our front door fixed. Took 3x's, don't know what they did but so far it hasn't "popped" open since we left WRV last week. I still feel like I'm sitting in a wind tunnel tho!

Donna and Chuck,

Glad to hear you got the door fixed. We missed you at the Paso Robles rally .

We need to have an iRV2 Alpine rally. Somewhere in the middle of the country....like.....California

Hope to see you soon.

Tom and Patty
