Windshield crack

Woke up this morning and noticed that the left windshield in the coach had a crack in the upper right hand corner. Interestingly, the inner and outer surfaces are smooth, not showing the crack. Is it possible for the glass to crack on the inside and not the outside?
Thanks.

The windshield is laminated so there is an outside sheet of glass and an inside sheet of glass with a plastic sheet sandwiched between them. One of these could crack and you may not be able to feel it as it is all held together.

David, If you find you need to have it replaced, you are close to one of the best places to have it done (IMHO). Coachglass/rv Glass Solutons in Eugene/Coburg have replaced 3 of mine. (I have a large rock/boulder magnet in my dash and windshields keep getting in the way) Seriously, they did great work for me and know Alpines well as they were the OEM provider for the windshield. Even if you are not in the area, give them a shout for a recommended installer, wherever you are. In most cases they will providing the replacement windshield anyhow.
NO, I don't own stock; I just hope they are around when the rock magnet again activates. Matt
