Windshield Repair - Replacement

Hello all,

Coach Glass, formerly of Eugene, OR has moved to the old Monaco Facility in Coburg, OR. Their sister company has also moved there as well. Easier to get to, and a much nice facility. They manfacture all or most of all the glass used in Motorhome Windshields, so this is the place to go if you need to have one fixed or replaced. Please see this link.

Rv glass solutions

That's interesting! Lovely facility. Maybe their glass replacement will improve? Every side window they did for us re-fogged within 2 years and had to be done over - one for the 3rd time. The front 2 on top re-fogged and we had dark glass put there when we redid them the first time so we have just left them fogged!

Think if we ever make it to Florida we will have the windows replaced!

My drivers side windshield recently cracked from a rock chip I got after leaving the ACA "Desert Rat Rally" in Quartzsite. Do any of the fine members on this forum have a recommendation for a good source to get a replacement? I am back in the Colorado Springs area now and haven't contacted the insurance company yet. Anyone had experience with this type of repair in the Colorado area? Or, should I wait for the next big rally to get it replaced? We might be able to make the Gillette Wyoming FMCA Rally coming up. Any suggestions are welcome - thanks in advance!

Hello David & Stilla - By all means - Come to Gillette to get it fixed since it is really close to you - I am sure that RV Glass Solutions will be there doing replacements on site! You might call them and set it up now so that they would be sure and bring one to fit your '05 coach!

AND also come to the ACA Pre-Rally in Gillette - The form is in the last ACA Newsletter:

I tried to put a link here but it isn't working!

PS - RV Glass Solutions is the same as the one Monty referenced in the beginning of this thread! They use several different names!

Just got an email from Tom Cook about the upcoming Rally in Buffalo WY and he included a note from RV Glass Solutions - I will copy it here -

[I]I am contacting the Alpine Coach Association on behalf of RV Glass Solutions - we are a nationwide windshield replacement company specializing in RV windshield repair and replacement. Our sister company, Coach Glass, is the OE glass provider for many RV manufacturers. We will be exhibiting at the FMCA rally in Gillette in June and we wanted to reach out to your club members/rally attendees with a special offer in the event they should need windshield repair or replacement. For completed windshield replacements that are booked by 2:00PM June 17th (Gillette time), we can offer our show special - $125 visa gift card, PLUS an additional $50 cash. Advance booking enables us to load the glass on our truck and bring it from Oregon - which means a savings in shipping that we can pass on by way of this discount.

This is just 1 of the special pricing things you can get by attending the FMCA Rallies!

Sent an email to RV glass to get an estimate on replacing the windshield on the passenger side of my '98 36fds, my appointment in Jacksonville, Florida is tomorrow with a local glass company that RV glass contacted, seems pretty reasonable to me compared to what I have been reading. $853.00??

That is about what we paid some years ago on our '03 Alpine thru RV Glass Solutions - in CA. So that is great. For those going to Gillette they are giving $175 back but have no idea what the price is to start with!!!

Just to close out my part of this thread... we got both windshields replaced while at the FMCA Rally in Gillette. Kudos to the RV Glass Solutions crew - no complaints about the quality of work, especially while working between rain/hail storms. Out of pocket cost to me was $1,450.00 after my $750.00 Insurance deductible and after receiving the Rally discounts.
Also, thanks to everyone on this forum for their advice and special thanks to the Swans' - it was great seeing you again

RVGLASS SOLUTIONS also replaced our passenger side window at Gillette. Dave and Mark couldn't have been better to work with, even repairing the seal coat after I stuck my finger in it. The next day I saw them working in a downpour with heavy wind. Every contact with this company has been great.
