Windshield Wipers Inop

I left my headlights on and drained the chassis battery. At the same time the windshield wipers moved from their home position to the center of each windshield. I started the engine with the house batteries and now the wipers won't operate. I reset the VANSCO and wipers still won't operate. Any ideas?
