Winegard Sat Dish Mounting

Has anyone mounted the automatic HD winegard satellite dish in front of the front A/C and if so have you had any issues with noise when driving the coach? Our old dish was mounted on the driver side in line with the two solar panels but the new dish is wider than the old dish and may have an issue with solar panel. And has anyone mounted the HD dish in some other location?

thanks

Using the Google search at the top of the page, search on "Alpine Satellite Dish", and you will find previous discussions about that very problem.

Be sure iRV2 is checked for the search.

I mounted it in front of the front air conditioner where the doom had been, and definitely had a problem with the noise. I moved it behind the air conditioner. Much improved. But I didn't have the solar panels to worry about. But I would suggest you heed the warnings about mounting it in front. You'll likely regret it.

But the dish itself is great. Never had a single problem with it.

Jim- too bad your original coach setup came with doom. Was it equipped with the optional gloom?

No, I passed on that option and added it myself later.
