What did WRV call the Alpine coach in 1984? I'm looking for possible cross references for my 1984 Alpenlite and someone with a 1984 Alpine (if one exists) might be able to help me with a few questions I have. Like if the water heater requires a anode rod or not.

As best I know, the 1st Alpine rolled off the line as a 1998 model. I know nothing about Alpenlites.

Regardless, RV manufacturers buy the equipment that build their products with and I believe you'd be better off placing the inquiries with manufacturer of the Water Heater. The OEM/MRO parts would have to come from them in any event.

Alpenlites are 5th wheels made by WRV. The reason I asked for a possible cross reference was because I tried to contact American Appliance (who makes my 10 gallon water heater) and got no help or even reply to my questions. It would have been nice to find that Alpines were made back in 1984 and that I could have gotten info from someone here with a 1984 model. The appliances would be the same as they only make so many types of RV water heaters.

Thank you for the reply. Sorry for bothering you here in Alpine land. I guess I'll just keep things the way they are and hope a anode rod isn't needed.

No worries and not a bother.

If it has an Anode, it should have a hex head on it and be where you can get to it. The hex is rather big (I can see mine by opening the door) and if it has one and you can get it out, you may be able to find a replacement fairly easily.

The anode is such a common part that I would think Camping World would have them.
