Question WRV Peak Chassis Wiring Diagram for 2004 Avalanche

It's been a while since anyone asked about the wiring diagram for a Peak chasis with Vansco. I'm receiving both engine Comm Failure and Trans Comm Failure on my Actia guage. The lights on the transmission shifter light up and after what appears as diagnostics, turn completely off. The guages continuously bounce back and forth from 0 to maximum. When the key is turned to engage the starter, nothing appears to happen. I would really appreciate the wiring diagram plus any suggestions.
Thanks, Ed

Ed-
I have some paper diagrams of the chassis main wiring harness that contains the J1939 data buss (shows buss splice location) iirc for the Avalanche. There are about 5 pages 24x36". I'm sure these would be useful.

Your issue sounds like one a Ltd Coach owner recently had. He had no communication on the J1939 buss from rear vansco to the front. He could not see the Net LED on the rear Vansco light up at all, no flicker, nada. Turned out the 1939 buss had fried in his rear Vansco unit. You can check the ohms on the J1939 pins to see if the buss line is intact (maybe) from instructions he sent me in an email; the buss is basically a twisted pair. I haven't tried this myself so I don't know if the instructions are realistic to follow (that guy has considerable electronic knowledge).

If you send me an email at mike at fleming dot cc (not dot com) I can forward his email. I'm leaving for Mexico Sunday, fyi.

WRV Peak Chasis Wiring Diagram for 2004 Avalanche

Mike,

I really appreciate your prompt response. My unit is being towed to a Cumming’s service center but I wanted to make sure they had something to work from. I hope the unit is not fried but at least I have an idea of what to expect. I heard that it could be verified by swapping the front unit with the rear. Naturally, I would want to make sure the problem that fried the unit is resolved prior to swapping.

I tried to email you directly at the email address you provided but I believe you or iRV2 omitted the information following the ‘at’ symbol. If it was iRV2, I’m in trouble.

Please send the diagrams to ‘ERH at BizzEB dot com’. If the email address has been edited by iRV2, after the ‘at’ insert BizzEB. I really appreciate you help!!!

I was raised in New Mexico about a 100 miles north of the boarder. I visited Mexico multiple times. Not sure I’m in a hurry to visit there now! Just be safe and have fun!

Ed
