On my 04 Dolphin 5355, I have the standard 600W inverter. I have read here that the inverter is supposed to power the front TV, the bedroom TV and the outlet next to the passenger seat. This is not true with my unit. I only have power to the front TV. I was wondering how I could get the other 2 outlets working. Also I have discovered that my inverter switch must have been bypassed because TV works weather switch is on or off. The only thing switch does is light up! Has anybody had this happen to them?

I have the same situation and I've never found out what that inverter switch does. The only difference with my switch is that the light is always out and have never found a function for this switch.
I would also like an explanation for this so called inverter switch.

We have a 2005 Dolphin 5342 which has a Xantrex Fredom 458 inverter/charger which experienced a near lighting strike this summer. In the process of recovering from the strike I had to replace the TVs and parts of the microwave and the inverter/charger. In doing so I discovered that the outlets the TVs used and the front passenger AC outlet were on the same circuit which wasn’t part of the AC power panel. I discovered this because flipping the circuit breakers did nothing to the circuit. I turns out this circuit comes from the inverter/charger. When on shore power or the generator is operating, the AC passes through the inverter/charger to the circuit. When neither shore power nor the generator is present, the circuits are powered by the inverter from the house batteries unless the inverter is off. However the best practice is to use the battery disconnect to isolate the batteries from the inverter/charger rather than just flip the inverter switch.
If you have a Xantrex Fredom 458 inverter/charger I can direct you to or provide the manual as well as the wiring diagrams others here on the forum have given me.

Our 1000W inverter also powers the fridge (lower socket) which is great when on the road keeping the batteries charged via engine alternator and not having to run on LP or use the gen during cooler months (here in AZ, summer travels require the gen and basement air).

My 2001 Islander has a freedom 458 inverter/converter also, and I noticed going down the road my front TV standby diode is on, so I unplug the thing going down the road. I think the outlet by the passenger seat and/or the one by the fold down table works on the inverter/converter.
I was thinking next year of putting in a Xantrex Freedom SW2000 true sinewave inverter/converter, anyone think that it's worth it? They go for $900. to $1,200. I was wondering what the advantage would be. I know the difference between modified and true sinewave.

The red inverter switch on my '04 5320 Dolphin controlled a 600W Inverter which had a built-in transfer switch. With inverter switch on, and no shorepower, the TV and the outlet near the passenger had 110VAC provided by the inverter. When shorepower is connected the transfer relay would operate, bypassing the inverter. If your TV does not work when you operate the inverter switch, are parked, and have no shorepower, then it is likely your inverter is faulty or maybe the wiring or ac plug has come loose at the inverter. My inverter quit, I replaced it with a Prowatt SW2000 sine wave inverter and an external transfer switch. I wired the red switch to control the new inverter. I can now connect the 2000 watt inverter to the shorepower cable while driving, or boondocking, and this provides power throughout the motorhome and enables the fridge to run on AC while underway.

The front TV has 2 sets of outlets in cabinet for TV/DVD switch .
I had problem with no power to all TV outlets front and rear and it was GFCI tripped on inverter.
