05 Dolphin H/W tank brand-plug?

I need the H/W tank plug for my 05 Dolphin. I can't find any paper work for the tank brand or a name on it. Should it be an Atwood? The 1/2" plug from Ace hardware has a small leak even with plumbers tape.

My original plug was over-tightened by my wonderful help when we de-winterrized yesterday

Thanks, Sandi

It should be an Atwood. Amazon has them in packs of 2. Atwood (91857) 1/2" Drain Plug Kit, (Pack of 2)
Good luck

Yes, use the Atwood brand, hardware plugs are not tapered.

Thanks Fred and tmw188 for the replies. I order the 91857 and have no idea if it is NPT or NPS?

Sounds like Fred is saying they are tapered. I trust he is correct.

Yep, the Atwood plugs are tapered, no sealing tape required.
