06 TropiCal Air Filter C7

I just wanted to replace my air filter, because its been over 4 years. ( I thought the last Freightliner Service did this, but it was not listed on the bill)

Well I tried going to the Freightliner guys and had 43 hits but no bites. I guess maybe I just will have to take the filter out and go down to the FD and have them match it, because no where can I find this part number on line. Here is what I think has happened. The filters are now made by Parker Racor and have changed the part numbers for the ECO Series filters. Also, they changed the sizes dimensions (if I am reading the correct part number).

My old part number is p/n 546755 ECO SE 9.8 X 19; the new part number (I think) is 114500003 ECO SE 9.7 x 18.9 (I measured my old filter and these are actually the dimensions). But see the label attached to the filter.

Hi,
My air filter has the same ECO-SE 9.8 × 19 II number as yours.
But the filter that I used was a PARKER RANCOR, FARR/ 114810003.
I have a 2005 Tropical LX396 with a CAT C7
I would think that they would have the same filter, but you never know.
I got mine at a Freightliner dealer.
It's not to hard to replace.
Hope this helps you.

Thanks Greg....appreciate your reply...yes sir. That is the part number. I have it almost all the way out and then ran into a snag. Tried to slide the canister towards the rear of the coach to get it past the hold down straps and have 1 more rubber intake to remove. Damn it. I almost had it out.

George, Did you have any magical way around the last step of the removal? I wish there was a way to get this monster out without removing the rubber intake boot shown in this picture. Thx again
