Hi All,

New to the forum and just became a MH owner. We bought an 06 T396 TropiCal LX (Freightliner XC Chassis). We took her on our maiden voyage to Borrego Springs (beautiful this time of the year) and had some vibration (more like a shimmy) in the steering wheel between 35-50 MPH. It seemed to smooth out as i picked up speed. It was also worse on bumpy roads (a lot of these in the desert i.e. S22).

Any help on what is causing this and where I should take it to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

might be that the front bearings need to be tightened, mine needed it. I would suggest that a proper service tech go over your entire coach, then you have abase to work from.

Had a mechanic look at it today. He said the bearing was bad and caused the seal to be damaged which soaked the brake shoes. $1300 ouch.

Wouldn't a bad bearing cause vibration at all speeds?
