Good day all,

We've found a like new 07 Pacific 40B with 5k on it at a dealer with an asking price of 137K. We like this unit very much as it has a great floor plan and we like the basement storage layout. With all that has gone on in the industry and especially with National RV, what do YOU think? Is this a good buy?

FWIW, we're ok with the knowledge that National has gone under. We feel that the problems that will occur can be handled after market, or will likely be chassis/engine/tranny related and as such not a true "National" issue.

Please, your opinions count, as the collective voices of experience speak loudly in our camp.

Well, we are on our third National coach (2006 Tradewinds) and would buy another in a heartbeat.

I think the quality of National's products are above all others in the same price range. As far as the price the dealer is asking, remember, with gas at records prices and National out of business, you are in the drivers seat. Bargin away and good luck.

Personally, I think that is a good deal. We paid that for a new 08 Dolphin LX and felt we didn't get as good a deal as we thought. But we wanted the coach.
I would still see show much lower you can get the dealer though.

Mackerman, I have an 07 36' Pacifica. other then a few minor problems the coach has been relatively trouble free. We love it. Since the coach in question is used I would approach with caution. I know what the dealers are giving for national RV trades, little to nothing ! If this coach checks out OK, I would make an offer of $120,000, and slowly negotiate to a max of maybe $128 - $130K. I'm sure he wants to get out from under it fast. Good luck.

Hi youall, I own a 2007 Pacifica 40 footer. We have not had any issues with the Freightliner chassis and after many small "box" issues were corrected, we are very happy with our coach
