The compressor on the chassis has taken a dump and blown a leak in one of the hoses from excesive pressure, as well as other parts.
My mechanic is getting the run around between a RV dealer he works with and the local Workhorse chassis vender. "the chassis air conditioner is a coach issue", "the chassis air conditioner is the chassis's issue" run around.
Is there a good place for my mechanic to get in touch with to get all the National RV - 07' Dolphin - W22 Workhorse chassis air conditioner needs?

Thanks,
Brad

Should be able to purchase what you will need at any major auto parts supply or automotive air conditioner repair shop

Evans Tempcon, Inc - Service Parts, are the parts installed by the coach manufacturer, the rest belongs to the chassis.

I went to the Workhorse Site PRODUCTS and became a member. I was able to find the Chassis manuals on my 2006 Workhorse chassis.

The compressor is part of the chassis, this link below may help. Workhorse supplied parts are in Black.

Evans Tempcon, Inc

The compressor on my 07 Seabreeze failed and was replaced under the 3 year / 36K by FORD no question about it.

Brad,

Here is a list that you should provide to your mechanic:
(there should not be any finger pointing)

WORKHORSE RESPONSIBILITY
1. Delphi/Harrison compressor used on all motor home chassis.
2. Condenser, mounted in front of the radiator (has been offered with a pre-charge of 1.5 lbs. of refrigerant-total system capacity determined by body manufacturer).
3. High-pressure switch, mounted by the receiver dryer.
4. Receiver drier mounted to the right hand side of the condenser.
5. Electric Condenser fan(s) mounted on the condenser or on the external transmission cooler, position in front of the condenser, controlled by the PCM.
6. Compressor discharge hose (shipped loose).
7. Low-pressure switch (shipped loose). Component supplied by the body manufacturer:

NOT WORKHORSE RESPONSIBILITY
1. A/C and heater controls.
2. All other A/C hoses.
3. Evaporator core.
4. Ducts and vent work.
5. Blower motor.
6. Other switches and wiring.
7. All dash heating components.
8. Heater control valve.
9. Thermostatic expansion valve or orifice tube.
10. Final refrigerant/oil fill and testing.

I'm now taking it to another mechanic. The local one lacked the ambition to look elsewhere for parts.
Of course the parts I need replaced are not supported by Workhorse.

Oy!

Richard thanks for the Evans link, if you look at it in pdf form, it showes the compressor as a chassis component.

True, unfortunatly it's the evaporator and hose from the compressor that's the problem.
I'm trying to get this covered under an extended warrenty so a shop needs to do the leg work in getting the parts.

Augh! more good stuff, thanks for the direction, data downloaded.
However I may wait and read all the details when I go south for some sun. Unless the new mechanic fails.
Thanks gents,
