1997 Tropical slide not coming back in.

My 1997 Tropical living room slide goes out without any problem but when I try to retract it nothing happens. No click of the motor or anything. I can release the lock on the motor and crank it back in by hand. I've checked the switch and it's okay. Is it the controller? If so, where is the controller located?

Thanks for your help.

sounds like what I just experienced last week on my National rv.

if you have a Power Gear slideout like I do----go to electric panel (mine is in a storage bay) that has wiring for chassis & house items. there should be Power Gear items there. there is a small (about 1 inch square, black in color) 20amp circuit breaker which also says reset on it. Tap on it with a pocket knife or small hammer type item lightly as not to break it. may need to try several times--it should then reset itself. I've had to do this several times over the years.

BTW---if you have 2 slideouts like I do, you can also switch the 2 around--they are the same.

Thanks for the reply. I found and checked mine this morning with an ohm meter and the CB checks out good. My controller is located in the 1st bay behind the entrance door. I had a water leak under my sink and the water dripped through onto the controller and I think it shorted something out. I've ordered a new controller and will post the results when it comes in and I get it installed.

Tropical Slide

Well got the 2nd control board in the mail today and it fixed the problem. The 1st control board that was sent to me didn't work at all.
