1998 Tradewinds Exhaust Brake

Looking to purchase a new Exhaust Brake and wondering if anyone knows where to get the part number. We are located in Canada and a parts store in the states will send me the part however if it's not the right part they won't except it back as they consider it a special order. Would purchase new or used if anyone knows where to purchase.

Ordering parts out of the states , for delivery by mail, has it's own set of problems with customs .
A friend ended up with a $138.00 bill from Customs & Excise on a $60.00 brake light switch.
Have you contacted the exhaust brake manufacturer, for a Canadian distributor ?
Are you replacing a defective unit or , installing on a coach that came without one?
Cummins engine?

Exhaust Brake

The brake is working and the outer housing is rusted making the brake extra noisy. freightliner tells me the it was made by a company called smart break and they are no longer operating. If I can get info looks like after market or used. May be possible to get a machine shop to prefab one however it looks like a lot of work. Hoping someone will know the part #.

One option is to replace with a PacBrake. Best part is they are located in Canada.
PacBrake. 800-663-0096. You will need engine manufacture and model. I replaced the OEM exhaust brake on my MH with a PacBrake. Their support was very helpful.

Pacbrake.

Was speaking to Pacbrake in Surrey BC. They need a bit of info but looks like the way to go.
