1999 Seaview differential

We need to change the differential oil in our 99 sea view. Any idea who made the differential and what oil to use? Thanks!!

If it is a Ford gasser then it is a Dana axle and will use synthetic 75w-140.
If it is a Chevy chassis I would be willing to bet it uses the same gear oil.

If it's a Ford F53, my Ford chassis owners manual says the differential is filled with synthetic lub and is life time lub unless it gets contaminated.

No matter who made your chassis , if it were mine I would use a very good quality synthetic lube of the specified viscosity even if non-synthetic was used originally. The lube that protects the mechanical components in a differential will break down over time and should be replaced periodically INMHO.

We opted to call manufacturers and are using Royal Purple Synthetic Oil not only in the differential but also in the oil change. Thank you for all your comments! It was a big help!
