1999 SeaView Step Just stopped working

My step just stopped working. Was previously trying to retract weakly, and one time before I just oiled everything up and it began working well. Now, what I assumed was the same thing and oil does not work. This time I don't even hear it trying as before. I see no fuses blown on PCB. And switch is in the "on" position. Please ehlp with trouble shooting the problem?

Mine stopped a year ago and needed a new "brain". Works as good as new. Before you go to that extent, try to clean the connections and look for loose wires or bad ground connection.

have you checked for low battery voltage? mine will do similar problem if it sits too long thru winter. I have to start motorhome engine & run several minutes to recharge house batteries before steps will retract again.
just a thought.

I've had the same symptoms with low batteries as two slides describes. The steps are powered by the chassis batteries so if you know the hose batteries are good just hold down the "Start Boost" switch on the dash and see if things get better. That switch connects the Chassis and House Batteries.

Low battery was the answer. An old professor of mine in Vet School used a common statement to us, "Boys, look for the usual, because the usual is usually there."
Thanks again.
