Pentagon Federal Credit Union Visa: Must be mil or retired or civil service, not sure of exact requirements to join,

5% FIVE PERCENT off all pay at the pump fuel purchases.

That's like 20 cents a gallon, 100 gallon fillup $20.00

Hi Ho: Actually American Express through Costco has no annual fee and offers 5% discount for fuel purchases (anywhere including competitors). Just get an AmEx card through your business. If you don't have one, any name will do.

My BP Visa also pays a 5% rebate. I have had it for 2 years. I have a Shell that does the same rebate. When I travel I try hard to find one or the other.

Have you checked to see if that discount applies to Diesel. Most do not. Many of those cards have either a monthly or a per purchase limit. For instance the Costco business card gives a 5% rebate on gasoline only. Limit is $75.00 purchase. At $3.60 a gallon that would be just over 20 gallons. Nothing in life is free.

Hi Ho: I had to look it up to be sure. It is really 75 gallons not 75 dollars. There are always some stipulations, but my gas tank only holds 80 gallons, so this isn't one of concern. Don't forget, you also get 3% for eating out and 2% for all other travel expenses.

I still like Costco.

I have no limit either daily or monthly. We get some very nice refund checks from BP, and my BP customers get the disc on diesel as well. I can't answer about Shell as I only purchase gas.

I did not mean to start any arguments with this. Was just trying to let anyone who would be qualified to get a little benefit from thier military/civil service.

Pentagon Fed CU---5% discount on ALL PAY AT THE PUMP FUEL purchases.

No other limits, conditions, restrictions or hidden meanings.

For the BP Credit card from thier web site:
"5% rebates on all BP Amoco gas station purchases. All rebate percentages doubled for first 2 months of card membership."
If you buy Diesel at a BP station, I don't know if they give the discount, but it sounds like it would.

From the Discover fuel card web site:
"Earn a full 5% Cashback Bonus on your first $100 in combined gas and auto maintenance purchases each billing period - up to $1,200 annually"
I don't know if this would include diesel but It will just barely cover one fillup for my pickup, forget about the RV.

From the Shell web site:
"Shell credit card allows you to earn a 5% rebate on Shell gas card purchases.... Rebates are automatically redeemed against future Shell gas purchases with the card."
It sounds to me that diesel purchases at a Shell station would be covered???

From the Sinclair site:
"earn rebates equal to 5% for all purchases made with your Sinclair Platinum MasterCard at participating Sinclair locations... for the first two billing cycles after your new account is opened, you will earn rebates of 7% on Sinclair purchases... Rebates are not earned on gasoline and merchandise purchased from non-Sinclair branded fueling locations. After the first two billing cycles rebates for purchases at Sinclair locations are earned only on the first $50 of the transaction, which is equivalent to a maximum rebate allowance of $2.50 per transaction..."
Save $2.50??? It cost that much to drive across the street to the station.

American Express Blue Card:
"Earn up to 5% cash back on gas purchases -- a full 1% rebate at gas stations, supermarkets and drug stores for the first $6500 of total yearly purchases, and a full 5% cash back on all gas station, supermarket and drug store purchases after that."
I could not find details on the AmEx web site...A bad sign...but it looks like you have to use the card a bit before the 5% rebate starts.

Most of the cards also offer some level of rebate for other purchases. .25% to 2%, typicall 1%.

One site to start to research gas credit cards is this:
http://www.indexcreditcards.com/gascreditcards.html

Just trying to help usse guys(sorry but I live near the Burgh) save a little cash.
