2000 SeaView. Does the BCC desulfate

Hi,

I recently purchased a 2000 Seaview (8310), 31 foot, 1 double slideout. I am wondering if I can desulfate the batteries, if so how? Does the BCC do it automatically?

More questions to come! :-)

Thanks in advance.

Once the batteries get sulfated enough to deteriorate their performance, it's just about impossible to desulphate them. The sulfate will form between the plates and actually force the plates apart. This will cause the battery to swell. When the battery swells badly enough, you can see the sides of the battery bow out.

Some chargers will help prevent batteries from sulfating but will never desulfate one.

The BCC just distributes the power. A three stage charger will help prevent sulfating.
