The oil warning light on my 2001 Islander equipped with a 33 Cummins stays on all the time. The oil gauge on the dash shows about 65 lb. pressure when running down the road. I am also equipped with an Oak Leaf engine computer which verifes good oil pressure and temps. and no trouble codes yet the light stays on.
I am in a diesel shop having my unit serviced at this time and their compter, like mine, shows no trouble codes.
We thought the light may stay on as an indicator of service needed. I have read the Cummins service manual and it describes a routine to hold the foot feed down, tap the brake three times then repeat this procedure three times. I have done that still the light stays on.
Does anyone have any suggestions about this problem.
