Question 2002 Tradewinds, bulging areas on each side

We are looking at a National Tradewinds and there are rippling or bulging areas on each side of coach.Although they don't stick out you can see them easily and can feel the difference. There isn't any paint cracking so could this be a factory defect or the beginning of a big problem.Otherwise the coach seems to be in good shape.

It's most likely delamination from water getting in the walls somehow. I would walk away and look elsewhere.

If they are in the middle of the side wall and move when you press on them they sound like delam...if they are uniform in appearance iether horizontal or vertical and solid when you press on it, could just be a cross member or stud beneath the wall protruding slightly. If it moves in and out when you press on it stay away!

As others have mentioned, it sounds like delamination. In most cases, this is a sign of water damage. not only do you need to address the damage, but need to know what caused it and repair that.

If you're able to repair this type of damage, you can get some sweet deals. if not stay well clear.

Below is a link to damage repair where the entire wall was literally rotted away. major work to rebuild the interior and exterior walls and structure.

This link is to repair of minor damage, but looked absolutely horrible.
